Secondary School Student Sponsorship
The Ugandan government pays for education for all students through only the 6th grade. Education beyond that is provided by boarding schools to which the students must pay tuition. The families of many children of southwestern Uganda cannot afford to pay their tuition. BARHD provides sponsorship for 79 children at three boarding schools which provide 7th-12th grade education:
The cost to sponsor a student for one year is $425. This pays for room, board, and tuition.
